Granny Bessie's is one of the first non alcholic liqueurs made in Scotland.
A traditional drink passed down the generations. It is wonderfully versatile - there are so many ways you can enjoy it that are equally delicious:
People tend to sip it straight, however it is also delicious in a variety of ways:
- Mocktails - especially good with lemonade, ice and a slice of lemon
- Cocktails - with the spirit and mixer of your choice
- Whisky mac - I believe people say it is sacrilege to put anything in a whisky but I have tested it with whisky lovers and they were taken by surprise at how much they liked it
- A hot toddy - with many health benefits, great for colds
- Why not make a mulled wine from it for the winter chills (2 parts hot water to 1 part ginger liqueur) and a slice of fruit
- A SHOT - an eye watering experience not for the faint hearted
